"I
had an opportunity to use Linda's Bible Story set and her corresponding curriculum as a
substitute teacher in our kindergarten/first grade Sunday School class. I was amazed at
the children's Bible knowledge. They had truly learned and remembered all about Moses and
Aaron and were primed and excited to learn about the Ten Commandments. Linda's
hands on approach is masterful. After teaching one class, I reviewed the curriculum
and found it to be consistently and thoughtfully designed to teach biblical truths in an
action oriented and systematic way. Linda has a clear gift for curriculum design and
teaching early elementary children. Her program is highly recommended. "

The Goal of this curriculum is to prepare children to
be
readers of God's Word by:
- Giving them a simple overview of the Bible:
- When you tell Bible stories as they relate to the land
of Israel you don't just tell Bible stories you show
them:Children actually see:
- Joseph being sold away from the land to Egypt;
- God's people becoming enslaved in Egypt far away
from the Promised Land.
- Moses leading God's people back toward the
Promised land.
- Joshua bringing God's people into the land across
the Jordan River;
- The land divided with:
- One king ruling in one part,
- A second king ruling in another part.
- Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego being
taken away to a far away land,
- The perfect king being born in the Promised Land,
- Paul leaving the land to spread the Good News of Jesus.
- Using hands-on methods so concepts
are easily grasped,
- Equipping families to read directly from the Bible to their children
through a weekly take home paper which includes:
- suggested daily readings,
- age appropriate readings,
- readings are short and should take no more
than 5 - 10 minutes a day.
A manipulative based program, this curriculum invites
children's
participation, using hands-on learning at it's best!
